Your Silk & Snow mattress will be special due to the unique combination of quality and sustainability! When it comes to our mattresses, for the majority of consumers, it will be a dream come true right away.  Although it makes up the majority of your entire sleep system, your bed frame, sheets, blankets, and pillows will all affect how your body feels. 

The S&S and Hybrid mattress are designed with a newer generation of open-cell memory foam that have many tiny cells that allow air to flow through it, which keeps a mattress cooler than heat-trapping closed cell memory foam. In addition to the open-cell structure of the foam, the memory foam used in the S&S and Hybrid mattresses are infused with a cooling gel which helps to absorb heat to keep you cool. When designing our mattress, we wanted to ensure that everyone could experience the quality and comfort of our memory foam, especially those who sleep hot! That’s why we use open-cell memory foam infused with cooling gel, creating a mattress that helps you keep cool all night.

We designed the best Hybrid Mattress especially for Canadians who want a very cool sleep surface, while still having the best pressure relief and contouring of foam. Now you can be cradled by memory foam while still feeling cool, thanks to our hybrid mattresses' cooling gel layer paired with our breathable pocket coil core. It's the best of both worlds as it allows you to benefit from memory foam, but still being supportive due to the coils.

Our Organic mattress is our coolest sleeping mattress as it has a pocket coil base which permits breathability and a latex foam on top. Latex is recognized as a breathable material as it does not trap heat as much heat as the mattresses you might be used to. 

Finding it too hot ? 

We designed our mattresses with breathability & comfort in mind. If you're sleeping too hot on your Silk & Snow mattress, we would recommend taking a look at all aspects of your Sleep System.  We suggest taking a peak at the bedding used & paired with the mattress. If you are using sheets made with synthetic fibers or using a duvet/blanket that may be heavier than it should be for the season, we would recommend looking for breathable sheets, like Linen & Percale. Also, a wonderful alternative would be a Down Alternative Duvet, which gives you the same cozy sensation but is more breathable than a regular Down Duvet. On top of that, our Down Alternative Duvet is offered in Lightweight!

Additionally, we would recommend looking into a breathable protector which will allow airflow while keeping your mattress safe. As for the mattress protector, ours is designed to keep the mattress clean and is 100% waterproof in case of accidents. A great piece of the puzzle lies in the bed frame used. If your bed does not enable air flow because it's on a solid surface, we would recommend looking into a different support like a Slatted Bed. All of our Bed Frames are designed with slats so your mattress can breathe.
